Provide O&M support of the SL-100 and SL-1 switches (or future switching equipment). Support SL-100 and SL-1 switches to include remote diagnostics, parts and material repair or replacement, emergency technical support, and technical documentation updates. When notified during non-duty hours, the standby technician shall immediately (within 1 hour from initial notification) establish a connection into the SL-100, and SL-1 and attempt to remotely clear the problem. Be able to perform remote diagnostics with the Emergency Technical Assistance Service (ETAS). If the problem cannot be cleared, respond to the installation for further trouble-shooting and repair action. In all cases, once notified, the Contractor shall inform the COR/COTR of the status of the trouble and action(s) on-going to clear the problem. Provide O&M of the REDCOM IGX switches. Responsible for all trunks and subscriber lines connected to the switch. May serve as a Site Leader.

Education: Associate's degree or equivalent training, and 6+ years experience with voice, data and LAN/WAN communications switches and systems.

Certifications: Nortel Certified Technology Specialist (for SL 100 and SL-1)

Training Required: REDCOM IGX Operations and Maintenance

Clearance: SECRET

Location: New Kabul Compound (NKC), Afghanistan (International Assignment)

Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance..
