Summary Functions in collaborative practice with physician(s) in an outpatient office and/or hospital setting. Assists in OR (majority of job functions). Autonomously performs patient assessment, diagnosis, and intervention according to approved protocols. Provides coverage for physician(s) during periods of absence. Prescribes a variety of modalities to meet wellness and illness needs, up to and including continued hospital admission/discharge and prescriptive authority. Collaborates with the assigned team members to support and adjust plan of care and length of stay for patient care needs. Graduate of an approved accredited Physician Assistant program; Masters of Science as a Physician Assistant preferred. Current licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant required. Current American Heart Association BLS and PALS required..
