Overview:

Performs various patient care tasks and uses non-professional skills to assist the nurse in providing personal care and comfort measures.

Qualifications:

Education: High school students will be considered for employment as long as they are currently enrolled or have completed a Certified Nursing Assistant Program
Certifications: BLS certification. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.
Other: Must be familiar with procedures involved in patient tasks. Completes orientation through Educational Resources before beginning clinical orientation on the nursing unit.
Preferred Certifications: Currently a Certified Nurse Assistant or an EMT in the state of Oklahoma
