We are currently seeking a Senior Manager in Manufacturing or Industrial Operations for our Practice in our Irvine, CA office. You will be an established consultant in the fields of manufacturing and industrial and operations engineering, and you will have a significant role in developing business and expanding the practice in your technical area.

You will be responsible for:

- Identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities

- Expanding Exponent's mechanical engineering capabilities into manufacturing and industrial operations

- Providing failure analysis and failure prevention services, as well as proactive engineering services

- Significantly increasing Exponent's mechanical engineering consulting efforts

You will have the following skills and qualifications:

- Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or Operations Engineering

- Significant consulting experience in the fields of manufacturing, industrial, and operations engineering

- Business development experience with a proven track record

- The ideal candidate will be a recognized leader in their field

- Consulting experience in failure analysis and/or litigation support is preferred

- Ability to attract projects to support full-time staff, and to manage and develop a group of highly motivated individuals

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently or in multidisciplinary teams

- A record of professional papers and presentations, and a proven record of dedication to quality and accuracy
