Job Description:

Arcadis is seeking a/an Environmental Scientist/Geologist/Engineer to support the Environmental business line in our Knoxville, TN office location.

With the backing of one of the industry's leading technical and professional staffs, you will assist with field work for multiple regional clients.

This full-time position requires. Successful candidate will assist project teams with the collection of field data, environmental media sampling, and site assessment information; will oversee drilling; soil/groundwater sampling activities; prepare field logs; air and soil gas sampling; asbestos containing material sampling; and will assist project teams with operation/maintenance of remedial systems and report preparation

What you will do:


  • Full-time technical position involves the execution of environmental assessment and remediation project tasks.
  • Ability to work with team members for the completion of field assignments will be important, including the ability to conduct work within scope, schedule, quality criteria, and budget.
  • Knowledge of field methods for the collection and evaluation of environmental data from hydrogeologic investigations and from the design, construction, and operation of remediation systems.
  • Field work may consist of implementing soil / groundwater sampling, drilling, monitoring well installation, well gauging, site inspections, implementation of remedial systems and installations, etc.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors of Science in Geology, Engineering, or Environmental Science
  • Minimum years of experience: 0-1

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Professional license (e.g., EIT or GIT)
  • Certifications:

    • Current OSHA HAZWOPER 40 hr / 8 hr training
    • OSHA 10- or 30-hour Construction
    • TN Asbestos Inspector

  • Strong experience working in MS Office Software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (writing samples required)
