Must be a Junior or Senior status attending an accredited university or college.  GPA and expected graduation date on resume to be considered for this role. 

The primary function of this position is to work on process improvements and projects as needed for the Information Technology support to the Infrastructure Team as it relates to Emerson Enterprise Information Technology.  Work on a part time basis continue employment during school, additional hours during the summer months.  

 

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The Governance function of the Emerson Cybersecurity and Network Solutions (ECNS) organization is requesting a new resource to support activities and assist with the maturity of the policies and standards framework by enhancing process to maintain security control inventory through the following activities:


  • Continue with mapping to industry frameworks
  • Coordinating with Emerson stakeholders to identify required controls and integrating them into the current baseline inventory
  • Assigning control owners and determining maturity levels (1 to 5) of Emerson controls
  • Working with control owners to develop action plans to enhance their control maturities
  • Tracking the progress of these actions through a semi-annual update exercise
  • Developing a process to conduct the annual review of controls and annually publishing new inventory
  • Developing a communication strategy (and training materials) for users + Updating the BI reporting function
  • Ongoing maintenance of the current control inventory
  • Ongoing maintenance of control compliance activities
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/LANGUAGE


  • The ideal candidate will be a current undergrad Junior/Senior college status - preferably studying Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other related field.
  • GPA and expected graduation date must be on resume to be considered
  • GPA 3.0 Minimum

 

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS


  • Strong analytical skills a must along with some spreadsheet modeling experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint presentation abilities
  • Ability to excel in a team environment.
  • Strong leadership capabilities.
