Position Title: Towers Operations Manager- 7E


 


Essential Job Functions



  • Ensure structural integrity and regulatory compliance for all assigned assets.

  • Manage the efficient repair, maintenance, inspection, security and operation of all tower structures and networks in the assigned area. Ensure proper visibility and escalation of all major service interruptions or hazards which present safety or structural integrity issues.

  • Manage NOTAMs per the internal and FCC mandates

  • Manage generator and HVAC preventative maintenance programs.

  • Performance management of a large team including hiring, coaching, performance reviews, terminations, rewards determination, training/development and scheduling.

  • Manage timely resolution of Incidents & trouble tickets, including the dispatch of technicians to diagnose and resolve issues. Participate in site visits when needed.

  • Develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with landowners, customers, cross-functional partners and National Support teams.

  • Assist Crown Castle Real Estate in negotiating land leases.

  • Manage budgets to ensure that tower upgrades, maintenance and repair, utility and interconnect objectives are met. Provide quarterly budget forecasts and guidance.

  • Analyze operational reporting, system tools and activities to ensure key objectives and goals are achieved.

  • Prepare, review and provide weekly updates for all activities at assigned tower sites to team and provide status reports to Area Director, Operations, as requested.

  • Ensure proper preparation for and lead resolution of all disasters, incidents and major service interruptions in assigned area directed by Area Director.

  • Ensure compliance of the team with Crown Castle’s safety program.

  • Develop team goals and objectives to ensure company and team success.

  • Assist District Manager with overall office management

  • Manage or provide oversight on various revenue generating projects which may include Fiber projects

Education/Certifications 



  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field

 


Experience/Minimum Requirements



  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in related Operations Management

  • Experience in carrier Operations, RF, construction, civil engineering, and/or property management

  • Previous experience leading and managing both remote and office-based workforces

  • Experience in Project Management and Leading initiatives and committees

 


Other Skills/Abilities



  • General understanding of electronic communications technology and maintenance test equipment

  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings

  • Ability to diagnose work flow problems, critical paths and institute remedies

  • Ability to effectively communicate with subordinates and management

  • Ability to lead teams for success and through change

  • Ability to build and manage both internal and external relationships

  • Ability to manage through internal and external conflict resolution

  • Knowledge in Project management principles

  • Financial Acumen to plan, analyze and oversee budget spending

  • Ability to demonstrate a knowledge base of our core competencies

 


Working Conditions:  Works in both a normal office setting and at tower sites. During COVID19 conditions, this role will work remotely as business needs allow to mitigate risk in the office setting. Travel may be required to tower/construction sites with exposure to heavy equipment and seasonal weather conditions. Physical demands may include lifting, stooping and climbing ladders. After hours availability for operational emergencies is required.
