We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Business Systems Analyst to work from our corporate headquarters in Lisle, IL.

The Senior Business Systems Analyst is expected to be knowledgeable in at least one of Oracle EBS Human Capital Management (HCM), Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), Supply Chain Management, and Finance modules . This position involves supporting Oracle e-Business Suite Release 12 (12.2.9), related technologies, applications, and interfaces. The successful candidate will work with functional business analysts, business process owners, and other technical team members for a given requirement or process. The Systems Analyst is responsible for executing requirements and design specifications into developed deliverables. Support, also, extends to touchpoint systems and integrated software including: ADP, HireRight, EY, Oracle BI/EPM (Hyperion), bank integration, and 3rd party payment processors. The successful candidate will work closely with business process owners and other technical team members. Experience with developing and maintaining integrations to vendors not mentioned above should be good as well.

Major Responsibilities:


  • Designing, developing, tuning, and testing enterprise application extensions and interfaces

  • Writing maintainable application code which effectively and efficiently implements business requirements

  • Participating in the development and enhancement of existing and new NEC core business systems

  • Maintaining software through review and modification of existing code

  • Taking ownership of problems and dealing with them effectively to ensure prompt resolution

  • Serving as a liaison with staff to analyze and debug system failures

  • Participating in testing of newly developed software components

  • Developing and/or maintaining operational documentation for new programs as well as modifications to existing programs

  • Enforcing and adhering to departmental standards and policies

  • Assisting in maintaining account reconciliation, including but not limited to: security; maintenance and creation of profiles; data management; reconciliation between Oracle EBS and other integrated systems.

  • Supporting integration to/from ADP, HireRight, EY, BeaconInsight, Oracle BI/EPM (Hyperion), bank integration, and 3rd party payment processors. Experience with supporting any third party integrations is desirable.

  • Creating and performing functional testing of system defects and enhancements.

  • Developing custom ad-hoc queries for problem identification.

  • Providing budgetary estimates (work/dollars) for requested requirements.

  • Consulting with team members and Oracle Support for problem resolution and for more effective system(s) usage.

  • Maintaining a stable and accurate Oracle EBS production instance that meets customer needs in line with compliance and audit policies.

  • Working with IT team members and business partners to propose and design changes that would improve current solution(s).

  • Maintaining current industry knowledge, best practices, and procedures.

  • Timely execution of assigned IT audit controls.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements:

  • Extensive, prior, techno-functional, support experience using Oracle Enterprise Business Suite R12.2. (Including, but, not limited to: Oracle EBS HCM and Financial modules).

  • Broad knowledge of core technical constructs and accompanying functional modules of Oracle eBusiness Suite (R12).

  • Prior experiences in full life-cycle implementations and upgrades of Oracle EBS HCM R12 - major plus.

  • Knowledge of seeded Oracle Applications organization and underlying data structures including Application Object Library (AOL).

  • Translation of business processes into technology requirements; ability to create 'think-out-of-the-box' solutions rather than jump to software customizations.

  • Ability to translate / articulate complex technical topics for non-technical audiences.

  • Clearly define/write detailed business requirements including functional and pseudo-technical. (Experience preparing documents such as (or similar to) Oracle AIM's MD050's, BR100's, etc.).

  • Supporting development of test strategy, prepare test cases, and coordinate/oversee test execution. Support manual and automated testing, functional testing, and UAT.

  • Cost Accounting structure, specifically in Oracle EBS Payroll processes. (Additional, high-level, knowledge of Oracle Financials, Procure-to-pay, iProcurement, Inventory, and Oracle Enterprise Asset Management - major plus).

  • Understanding of hierarchical workflow approval versus Approval Management Engine (AME).

  • Hands-on experience with SQL, PL/SQL, SQL

  • Plus, Forms, Oracle Workflow, XML Publisher, Shell scripting, FTP, Oracle extensions and BI Publisher, performance tuning

  • Experience integrating Oracle Applications with various formats including flat-file (CSV), XML, and SOAP

  • Experience with OAF and Approvals Management (AME) - a plus

  • Experience with Analytic tools such as R and Python - a plus

  • Experience with source code management system

  • Working knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including Windows and AIX

  • Working knowledge of MS Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills related to the design, development, and deployment of mission-critical business and software systems.

  • Strong interpretative skills to understand and relate design requirements.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team environment.

  • Ability to anticipate what needs to be done rather than be instructed.

  • Good analytical, consultative, and communication skills.

  • Ability to visualize the 'big picture' as well as manage the day-to-day detail.

  • Assist with training materials and business process documentation.

  • Proven commitment to customer care. (Infrequent, but, could include off-hours and on-call support to resolve critical system incidents.

  • Intermittent off-hours or weekend activities for system patching, testing / validation and month-end support.

  • Manage relevant IT Help Desk tickets from creation thru resolution and identify training or improvement opportunities.


Qualifications

  • 4-6 years of prior techno-functional, financial/HCM experience with Oracle Enterprise Business Suite R12.

  • Bachelor degree in business, computer science or a related discipline.

  • Experience working with Oracle interfaces (both inbound and outbound).

  • Experience facilitating Requirements/Design/Test workshops.

  • Understanding of project lifecycle - defining scope and requirements through testing and system implementation.

  • Understanding of Infrastructure Life Cycle and Software Development Life Cycle methods (SDLC). Experience working in iterative and Agile Methodologies - a plus.

  • Knowledge of personal computers, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Projects, SharePoint, and JIRA applications.

  • Proficiency with MS Excel (VLOOKUP, pivots, and database connections) - a plus.

  • Basic project management skills.


Skills and Abilities:

  • Functional configuration of Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1.3 (12.2.x - a plus).

  • Working knowledge of Oracle Application Object Library, Concurrent Manager, Oracle Flex Builder, System Admin, Oracle Alerts.

  • Working knowledge of Apache Web Server and WebLogics.

  • Oracle AIM and / or OUM methodology (or similar); Oracle Upgrade Wizard.

  • Microsoft Desk tools: Office and Outlook.

  • Toad or SQL Developer

  • PL/SQL, SQL

  • Integration using Microsoft Azure - a plus

  • Forms and Oracle Application Framework (OAF)

  • High-level knowledge of Active Directive driven security.

  • High-level knowledge of LINUX, IBM AIX, Microsoft operating systems; scheduling and scripting.
