Ashley Furniture HomeStore, the #1 Mattress and Furniture retailer in North America, has an immediate opening for an Inventory Planner.  The ideal candidate is responsible for inbound flow to assigned Import Distribution Centers.  Includes all aspects of product forecasting, safety stock levels, purchase order management and inventory management.  Manages Supply Chain Planner for satellite distribution centers.

 KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for maintaining inventory flow and preventing broken promises to customers through inventory planning and execution


• Collaborates with Merchant Teams to identify stocking assortment and levels


• Determines container vs. domestic product sourcing, orders and tracks container buys to meet budgets


• Responsible for coaching and training Supply Chain Planner (s) on inventory management


• Works with Supply Chain Planner to execute Hub and Spoke product movement from IDC


• Collaborates with Regional Merchants for Despised Planning and execution


• Collaborates with DCs to ensure proper inventory flow, on time receiving, and accuracy


• Responsible for reporting and driving KPI's for al DC's within responsibility


• Other duties as assigned

 KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Bachelor's Degree required


• 5-10 years experience product and inventory planning


• Expert in MS Office Suite


• Work well with a team


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


• Experience managing a team


• Outstanding grammar, writing, editing, and communication skills
