We have an exciting opportunity for a CUSTOMER SERVICE / KEY ACCOUNT SPECIALIST to manage multiple levels of customer interaction and serve as a single point of contact to one of our largest strategic DGF customers with a complex supply chain.  This position is REMOTE.  Individual does not need to reside in Moline, IL.

 Key Responsibilities:

·       Handles incoming calls with the intent of providing customer satisfaction and retention

·       Works in conjunction with larger team representatives to provide pre-and /or post-sales support on new projects

·       Proactively informs customer on shipment status, exceptions and provides timely updates on incident resolution

·       Provides spot quotations or confirms rates on customer contract

·       Accepts all orders (from customer or overseas office) and processes them for handover to Operations

·       Effectively handles any customer issues; solves customer issues, or assigns tasks to other functions in a timely efficient manner

·       Acts as first contact point for customer claims for notification and reception of claims and respective document collection

·       Collaborates closely with Operations, Sales, and other departments for smooth handling of shipments with continuous updates

·       Reviews customer reports and provides to customer

Skills / Requirements:

·       Knowledge of the Logistics / Transportation Industry, Ocean / Air Freight products and business systems

·       Strong customer service, relationship building skills

·       Excellent communication (oral and written), and interpersonal skills

·       Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (ie: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

·       Strong business acumen

·       Associates degree or 1 year experience with import/export shipments, supplier management, supply chain management, documentation checking and compliance.
