With significant big data analytics and machine learning projects taking place across the broad Home Lending domain, data delivery architects are able to see the fruit of analysis come to life every day!

The Data & Analytics team is the engine that powers JPMorgan Chase with insights to create competitive advantages for our business and deliver value for our customers. We have unified data and analytics talent across the firm and encompass a variety of disciplines including data science, reporting, quantitative analytics, and data governance.

This is a hands-on role, so we're looking for an exceptionally curious and ambitious team member who can help to extract true business value from data.

A typical day might include:

  • Drive agile development, migration of processes and data from Business Analysts and Analytics Teams to Technology Supported Platforms
  • Engage heavily with designing and implementing solutions that are scalable and satisfy analytics performance requirements across environments
  • Design and implement business customer-centric data assets for use across the firm
  • Partner with stakeholders inside and outside of the department to understand their needs and actively engage in the design and development of robust data solutions
  • Facilitate use case & requirements definition, design, testing, and implementation of new data assets and analytic capabilities that address specific business needs
  • Support technology data modelers towards the creation of conceptual & logical models to describe the Home Lending domains
  • Enable the management of data as a corporate asset: define data (metadata), identify systems of record and authoritative sources, define security requirements, create data flow diagrams, and administer firm-wide principles, standards, and controls
  • Develop strategic roadmaps for the analytical data domains that describe a sequence of projects to improve management and utility of the data for the business
  • Conduct research and development with emerging technologies, determine their applicability to business use cases, document & communicate their recommended use in the firm.
  • Partner with Technology, Controls, and various organizations to design a future state data ecosystem to meet the growing and complex needs of the business.

You are a strong candidate if you:

  • Have a love to solve problems, curiosity to meet new business partners and explore the unknown, and an excitement when you learn something new
  • Have a solid understanding of data structures, data manipulation, metadata, data security, and data quality management
  • Write data transformation logic in languages such as Python, SQL, SAS, Spark, or Scala, including coding skills to profile, wrangle, and prepare data from diverse sources
  • 10+ years of experience in data, analytics, or related technical roles

Bonus points if you:

  • Experience with delivering solutions through agile methodology and project management methodologies
  • Have an understanding of big data disciplines, Agile (scrum) methodologies, and new technologies
  • Have a unique combination of technical skills, storytelling, and intuition to understand what is happening to data from inception to model to business decision
