Your Position:

Job Responsibilities

As a Senior NVH Staff Engineer for John Deere located in Moline, IL, you will lead the enterprise for the development and deployment of the global strategy for the Noise Vibration and Harshness (NVH) competency. You will work with a global team to advance our NVH tools, processes, and capabilities for off-highway vehicles, subsystems, and components, and lead testing to define simulation parameters for predictive models. You will support NVH testing at local Units and provide direct NVH support for units in China, India, and Mexico. Additional responsibilities:

• Oversee the operation of an NVH testing laboratory.
• An NVH technician to set up and execute tests.
• An NVH engineer to directly support global product platforms.
• An NVH design analyst to advance and develop as necessary virtual analytical tools and process.
• Technical oversight of the relationships between Deere and NVH tool suppliers.

What Skills You Need

• 5 or more years of experience with modern NVH modeling software including SEA, BEM and FEA.
• 10 or more years of experience with NVH test methods including sound power, noise source localization, and modal analysis.
• 10 or more years of experience with NVH product development experience in automotive, aerospace, off-highway, or heavy equipment manufacturing industry.
• Extensive experience in experimental test setup, multi-channel data acquisition, digital signal processing, and data analysis.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
• Strong fluency in English.

Education

• Master's of Science degree in Mechanical, Acoustical, or similar Engineering.
• PHD in Mechanical, Acoustical, or similar Engineering (preferred)
