This position is currently eligible for a telework and/or a compressed workweek arrangement. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes. This arrangement is subject to change.

Job Responsibilities

As an entry-level Software Developer, for John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group, you will join a team of passionate software developers in the development of software products that manage, visualize, and report on the telematics data that flows from our connected products in Agriculture, Construction, Forestry, and Roadbuilding product systems. Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and supporting high quality John Deere software solutions which may include web applications, mobile applications, or RESTful & GraphQL APIs
• Engaging in all aspects of the software delivery cycle including the design, build, test, deploy, and support of software applications
• Engaging in Agile software development activities including team sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives
• Collaborating with Product Managers, Architects, and other supporting teams to define product requirements, system design, and delivery cadences
• Supporting a culture of software craftsmanship best practices including Test Automation and Continuous Integration
• Interfacing regularly with customers to ensure technical solutions are meeting their needs

What Skills You Need

• Experience in front and/or back end web application development
• Experience in roles that required strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills
• Experience in roles that required strong analytical and problem solving skills

What Makes You Stand out

• Experience with programming languages/frameworks such as Java, Spring, Scala, C#, React.js, Node.js, or SQL/NoSQL
• Experience in designing and developing SQL/NoSQL DBMSs
• Experience in designing and developing RESTful web services
• Experience with cloud computing platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud
• Experience with any of the following: Agile development processes, Test Driven Development, Acceptance Test Driven Development, or Continuous Integration

Education

Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
