Co-Op (Computer Science Major - Junior)

About this role:  

Position is for a student Co-Op on the Applications Development team for Fleet Systems. The skill set of the candidate should include working knowledge of Object Oriented analysis and design and an understanding of .NET development. Knowledge of mobile development and/or Xamarin is a plus. The selected candidate must be a self-starter and be ready to collaborate with application teams. S/he will have the opportunity to introduce new ideas and partner with business users to enhance operational experience. S/he may be engaged in any or all of the following types of work:

• Creation of new web services/APIs or modification of existing web services/APIs (.Net)
• Creation of, or modification to existing, stored procedures (SQL Server)
• Creation of, or modification to existing, mobile device content (Android)
• Collaboration with end users and senior developers to determine requirements and designs for new development

Minimum Qualifications:

• Familiar with C# .NET, Android Platform, SQL Programming, Scrum
• Must be able to work 15 - 20 hours per week while school is in session. Will potentially work 40 hours per week when school is not in session
• Good communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Good interpersonal skills
• Must work well within a team environment
• Must be a highly motivated individual that has excellent analytical and problem solving skills and desires to work in a fast paced application development environment
• Currently enrolled in a degreed college/university program pursuing a degree in Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics or related discipline, or has graduated from a degreed college/university program within the last 24 months with a degree in Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics or related discipline
