Job Title: CBP Hub Rep
Job Type: Administrative Region/District: 22/13
Job Summary: Inspect reconcilliation, hold and rejects verification and resolution thereof. Work directly with CBP, USDA, FWS inspectors and Int'l Import Ops assisting in daily Worldport Hub sort. Prepare and complete miscellaneous reports.
Job Description: Reconcile daily shipment concerns, holds resolutions and inspect reports. Present exams to government agencies. Communicate any additional information needed to Dayside team or seek same as required, via phone, e-mail, and comments in ISPS or BOSS. Review holds for those that may be processed. Prepare and complete reports as required and report results to supervisor.
Required Skills: Must be able to work holidays and possible OT as volume permits or during peak season. Must have acceptable attendance with a maximum of four concerns in a six month period. Employee must have acceptable eval scores on their last evaluation.
Additional Skills: Desired knowledge of Boss, ISPS, OPSYS, ISPS, e-mail, MS office, BDIS, IDIS, eTT, and internet. Additional training will be provided.
Interpersonal Skills: Must be a self-starter, and highly motivated. Individual must have excellent organizational skills and be capable of handling multiple tasks throughout the night. Being a team player is required as well as interest in cross-training and back-up coverage assistance in various areas. Must also have excellent written and oral skills. Possess the ability to identify and resolve problems with little supervision. Self-accountability, as well as being positive, enthusiastic, and persistent is a must.
Work Environment: Louisville Brokerage Hub office. The Brokerage is a business office with more than 50 employees on the day and night shifts. It is a 24x7 operation. Staffing consist of both full and part time employees. Brokerage is responsible for clearing international air shipments that are entering the U.S. from a foreign origin through the respective U.S. Government agencies. Dress code is casual but may be required to wear protective footwear when working in the operation. Candidate for this position will be working in a group of approximately 19 employees in the Brokerage Hub office.
