As a Homecare Homebase Interaction Designer (IxD), you are on the front lines with customers. Day to day, your understanding of Homecare Homebase, our customer's business objectives, and your drive to execute makes you successful. That includes collaboration with internal and external customers, informing scrum team priorities, and ensuring smooth communication among your peer product management teammates. Under the guidance of the Director, User Experience, you fill the role of a behavioral scientist in a cross-experience and innovative UX design environment, helping to shape and drive the UX vision.


 


Responsibilities


You will need to be a demonstrated team player, as you will closely collaborate with product managers, marketers, designers, strategists, analysts and other key stakeholders.


Here are some of the ways you will identify workflows and visual designs to impact the clinical and back office users caring for nearly 700,000 patients daily:



  • Create experience maps, user scenarios, mockups and flows.

  • Validating ideas and designs using split A/B tests and product performance.

  • Collaborating and communicating professionally with clients and internal teams.

  • Designing user-experiences from low-fidelity sketches to hi-fidelity pixel perfect mockups.

  • Measuring recently released product features to establish benchmarks and to identify potential areas of improvement.

  • Staying abreast of UX trends and looking for creative ideas and inspiration in parallel analogous worlds.

  • Developing interactive reporting dashboards and different types of visualizations.

  • Creating rapid prototypes to validate design concepts with stakeholders and customers.

  • Highly detailed communication of design principles + direction, as well as UX/UI Guidelines.

 


Requirements



  • A minimum of five years of UX or interaction design experience; experience with cross-platform (Mobile, Software & Web) strong interaction and knowledge of design languages, such as Material Design.

  • Bachelor's degree in human-computer interaction, IxD or similar.

  • Knowledge of Design Systems and industry standard Persuasive Patterns, Validation Patterns and UX/UI Interaction Patterns

  • Strong work portfolio that demonstrates the role you played on each project, the problems that were solved, and the impact the project had on the business.

  • Strong ability to recognize and predict use cases and user interaction, including happy path as well as edge and corner cases, and incorporate them into designs.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (the ability to effectively sell an idea).

  • Deep understanding of information design / architecture, gestalt principles, and user psychology.

  • Ability to manage time wisely across projects and competing priorities, meet agreed upon deadlines, and be accountable for work.

  • Proficiency in graphic design, motion graphics, digital art, a sensitivity to typography, color, layout, and a general awareness of materials/textures.

  • Experience in working with a cross-functional team or large-scale software development lifecycle, including waterfall and agile methodologies.

  • Experience with prototyping tools such as Sketch, Invision, Balsamiq, etc.

 


Nice to Have



  • Knowledge of health care industry, specifically around home health, hospice, palliative, or personal care.
