IS Team Lead for Perioperative Applications (FT) at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center

Job Description:




Description:  Supervisory position overseeing the team of
IS Analysts that manage the applications used in the perioperative areas (e.g.
procedural scheduling; pre/intra/post-operative orders & documentation;
anesthesia documentation) across multiple Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health
locations.  Experience working with Epic,
as an IS analyst or in an operational role, is highly valued.  Prior supervisory or managerial experience is
necessary. 



Responsibilities: 

 

1. Supervises
team members and performs administrative duties. Completes performance
appraisals for team members and recommends hiring, compensation, advancement,
and dismissal.

2. Manages
work flow within the team and communication with other IS teams and user
population.

3.Conducts
team meetings.

4. Manages
medium to large scope projects which impact large segments of the organization
at the campus or enterprise wide level or that have a significant impact to the
financial health of the organization.

5. Strives
for "win-win" solutions for every interpersonal communication.
Fosters coaching, feedback, and listening skills as strategic tools for
individual and organizational actualization.

6. Maintains
a broad understanding of both the organization and the health care industry.

7. Plans,
develops, directs, schedules, and/or assists in the deployment and/or
enhancement of DH's information systems.

8. Develops
and refines work management processes and methodologies. Trains others in work
management skills.

9. Designs
system solutions to operational issues and meets customer needs.

10. Develops written materials for large
scale and/or complex projects. Presents information to diverse audiences.

11. Recommends hardware and software
solutions for user needs.

12. Empowers individuals, encourages
employees toward responsibility and decision making. Promotes continuous
learning and improvement. 

 13. Performs
other duties as required or assigned.









Minimum Qualifications:


 



  • Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of practice and information systems analysis/implementation experience required.


  • Strong computer skills desired.


  • Must be self-directed, flexible, and have excellent organizational skills.


  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skills required.



  • Must have an analytical approach to problem solving and needs definition.


     



 


Required Licensure/Certification Skills:


 


  • Special certification may be required (RN or other certification) depending upon team responsibilities.
