Job Description:

PROFILE SUMMARY

•             Candidate should be currently in a Linux lead position managing a team of more than 3 resources across geographical locations. Minimum lead experience required is 3 years

•             Hands on experience in administering RedHat Linux for large environments (1500+ Linux servers)

•             Mandatory experience of onsite/offshore based delivery model

Note: 10+ years of exp required minimum.

MANDATORY SKILLS & RESPONSIBILITIES

•             Knowledge of Linux(RHEL) administration on systems running on VMware hypervisor

•             Knowledge of Rysnc scripts & shell scripting

•             Install, configure, and maintain highly reliable 24x7x365 production Linux servers

•             Validating successful start-up or debug failures and providing solutions

•             Write scripts knowledge to automate and monitor systems health, performance, and security.

•             Installation, configuration and maintenance of network services such as: DNS, Printer, ftp, DNS, email, ntp, NIS, authentication, file sharing.

•             Installation, configuration and maintenance of network functions such as: Login Scripts, Access Control, Resource Sharing and Directory Structure.

•             Thorough understanding & Experience in File System, user, Backup & restore activities.

•             Handling disaster recovery activates if needed.

•             RHEL 6 / 7 / 8 Knowledge and hands on understanding.

•             Analysis of usage and performance data, and reporting on performance against targets contained in SLAs

•             Ensuring that appropriate levels of monitoring of the resources and system performance and recommending any upgrades, changes.

•             Involve in understanding the new projects liaise with various teams like Application,SAN,Wintel..etc

•             Regular audits on the Components w.r.t. standardization of UNIX – RHEL best practices

•             Patch Management- Installing , upgrading patches on the server, Performing Rollback if needed

•             Should be able to work in shifts and on call as required

•             Ability to participate in process definition for change management and problem resolution to support large-scale 24X7 systems operations

•             Handle escalations

•             ITIL Certified preferred

•             Exposure to AWS cloud
