With headquarters and manufacturing located in Groveport, Ohio, Hague Quality Water manufactures water softener and filtration equipment. Our products are sold in the U.S. at Lowe's stores nationwide and through our authorized dealer network as well as to over 50 countries worldwide through our network of independent distributors. We are experiencing strong growth as part of the North American Water Treatment Division of A. O. Smith, a division that saw April - June 2020 sales increase by 19% from the same time period in 2019.

Primary Function

The Production Team Lead (2nd Shift) coordinates activities in the molding department by providing direction to staff to ensure compliance with production goals, quality, and safety processes as well as reducing downtime and waste. This individual also coordinates workflow to ensure high performance standards are met. This position is direct-hire and benefits elgible after 30 days at a starting pay rate of $18.50/hour. The hours for this role are Monday - Friday, 2 pm - 10:30 pm (with overtime as needed).

Responsibilities

- Supervision of up to 20 equipment operators

- Accountable for meeting production and quality goals while driving projects to improve quality and reduce costs.

- Coach team members to understand and meet the company objectives (Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost and Morale).

- Maintain a positive relationship between employees and company

- Work closely with Maintenance and Production Control to help maximize efficiency

- Determine root cause of problems and implement corrective actions to keep from repeating mistakes

- Create a work environment which engages its members to achieve compliance with the objectives of manufacturing

- Establish plans to achieve or exceed production and quality goals

- Use the most appropriate quality tools for problem solving

- Always seek continuous improvement in manufacturing processes

Qualifications

- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree a plus

- 2+ years of production leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, including molding machinery

- Must be able to work 2nd Shift: 2:00 pm- 10:30 pm Mon - Friday with overtime on Saturdays

- Skills in relationship building with a diverse workforce a preference

- Familiarity with time keeping systems or tracking work hours and payroll is a plus
