Nice-Pak Products, Inc. (NP) is the global developer, manufacturer and marketer of pre-moistened wipes for the consumer market, specializing in personal care, hygiene, household cleaning and disinfection products.

We're currently looking for a HR Generalist in our Jonesboro, AR location.

POSITION PURPOSE:

This position is responsible for assisting the Human Resources Manager with the basic human resources functions at the company's Jonesboro, AR facility. The primary accountabilities for this position are: develop and execute necessary reports; assist in the development and deployment of policies and procedures; perform department's clerical duties; administer benefits, unemployment and Worker's Compensation; function to maintain non-union status; assist in recruitment; administer orientations and assume the responsibilities of the Human Resources Manager is his/her absence. This position is also responsible for selected training of hourly associates and for monitoring the training. Accountable for completion and recording of all required paperwork, as well as updating training materials.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

This position works directly with all levels of management, supervision, all employees at the Jonesboro, AR facility and the management staff at the corporate office.

- Ensure timely contact, testing, recruitment, and orientation of exempt, non-exempt, and hourly personnel.

- Assist in the development, modification and deployment of the Human Resources policies.

- Organize and lead meetings with associates relative to HR topical items.

- Work in collaboration with local management in order to ensure that the Company's philosophy regarding open and regular communications; explanation of policies and their application is fully implemented in conjunction with the HR Manager. Meets regularly with associates to provide answers to questions or have general discussion on the Hourly Team Member Handbook.

- Administer and monitor benefit programs.

- Assist in maintaining non-union status. Assist or conduct informational meetings on the implications of working in a union facility.

- Provide administrative support to the Human Resource Manager.

- Complete unemployment claims and attend unemployment hearings as required.

- Work with Supervision to determine new employees' training needs and monitor OJT training. Provide additional training as needed. Recommend remedial training.

- Ensure employees have received adequate training to perform the required job. Recommend additional training as needed.

- Prepare, update, and distribute appropriate training materials as required.

- Provide new employee follow-up to resolve new hire issues and assist in retention.

- Assume the responsibilities of the Human Resources Manager in his/her absence.

- Perform other duties as requested by Human Resources Manager

- All other duties as assigned.

- Managing line needs based on priority and effectively working with all departments

Requirements

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

- Knowledge of Federal and State employment laws.

- Knowledge of general Benefit Programs

EXPERIENCE REQUUIRED:

- Minimum of three years Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

- Excellent skills using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be predisposed to working closely with all associates in a collaborative and productive manner.

- Good presentation and platform skills.

- Must be able to work flex schedules as necessary.
