Job Description:

The Research & Innovation Analyst III assists with primary and secondary research, analysis, and reporting of the competitive landscape, member relationships, and emerging industry trends. Communicates results in an informative and effective manner; ensures integrity and accuracy of data gathering and reporting.

* Researches, analyzes and reports market data to identify trends in products (i.e. pricing), delivery channels, best practices, and market preferences related to the financial services industry.

* Assists business unit partners in the quantitative and qualitative review and reporting of member relationships by conducting analyses of the Credit Union's programs, member demographics, and member preferences.

* Monitors the market for best practices, innovative ideas, and emerging industry trends.

* Leads efforts to quantify the strategic and financial benefits of recommended innovative opportunities and participate in prioritization efforts for opportunities that are approved for further research or development.

* Works with leaders and peers to prepare recommendations to senior management using business case analysis to quantify the strategic and financial benefits for innovations that merit further development.

* Assists the Manager with key projects initiated by the department and the Credit Union.

* Assists with internal and external survey processes; designs, deploys and analyzes surveys; reports survey results.

* Assists in reviewing performance metrics to ensure alignment with the corporate strategy; implements structural updates to scorecards; updates and validates data for accuracy; reports on the results.

* Assists in coordinating the logistics for the bi-annual Management Meetings; acquiring agreement from senior management, communicating deliverables and information to management, reviewing and compiling presentations, and providing support as needed.

* Serves as a back-up resource for MCIF data requests including running queries and producing reports, generating mailings, and measuring results.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Ability):

* Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Organizational Development or related discipline with 3 years of experience in data analysis and/or market research preferred.

* Thorough working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of office products, SPSS, Tableau and Internet search engines.

* Demonstrated ability to manage tasks effectively, accurately and timely, and work successfully in a deadline driven environment. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team.

* Demonstrated ability to work with confidential data and ensure integrity of data.

* Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to all levels of employees including senior management using excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.

* Working knowledge of financial institution operations preferred.
