Job Description:

Founded in 1887, Cornell Law School is a top-tier law school, currently ranked 13th by U.S. News & World Report. We offer a 3-year JD program for about 200 students per class, a one-year LLM program for over 100 students from countries throughout the world, and a doctoral (JSD) program for about 2-3 new students per year. Cornell Law School has approximately 40 tenured and tenure-track faculty, including 20 with chaired faculty positions; and 15 clinical professors in the legal research and writing program and in clinics at the local, national, and international level. What you will do:
-
Provide administrative support to Cornell Law School's External Education and International Programs, including the Berger International and Comparative Legal Studies Program, the Paris Summer Institute, and the online Master of Science in Legal Studies (MSLS) program.

Manage the reception area, greeting and responding to inquiries from office visitors, telephone calls, and e-mail.
-
Coordinate and perform a wide variety of administrative activities including travel arrangements/reimbursements, maintaining calendars, event management, reconciling payments, and drafting correspondences.

Communicate with students, administrators, university departments, and outside entities about our programs and other related matters.

Assist in evaluating and improving existing programs, and contribute to group projects.

What we need:
-
Associate's degree or technical/vocational school degree and 1-2 years of experience or equivalent in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Excellent customer service and communications skills (both written and oral).
-
Must possess excellent organizational and data management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to demonstrate proficiency with various computer programs, including the Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to work well in a team, promoting and supporting cooperation and respect.
-
Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities in providing administrative support to multiple individuals.
-
Ability to develop effective working relationships and collaborate with a wide variety of faculty, staff and students.
-
Must have strong interpersonal skills and be sensitive to people of diverse backgrounds and maintain confidentiality at all times.

Demonstrated history of reliability and ability to maintain confidentiality.

We'd prefer a Bachelor's degree. Knowledge and expertise with Cornell University accounting systems, policies, and procedures, including the Kuali Financial System, IWantDoc, and eShop. Experience using Canvas and Zoom.

During the COVID restrictions this position willprimarily work remotely. During the training phase there may be times when certain activities will take place on campus, observing all University protocols and guidelines, but this would be limited in nature until such time that the remote work restrictions are lifted.
