POSITION PURPOSE

Provide leadership and support to Engineering Services design efforts, support new product development, change configuration management, item master maintenance, Bill of Material creation, Specification creation and maintenance, and internal process improvements supporting business direction.

Collaborate within Engineering Services team to develop, implement, and communicate a system to authorize, provide, and control technical information, instructions, to assure accurate Bill of Materials, and routings.

Lead in documenting Standard Operating Procedures and Team Work Instructions, establishing standardization and creating a reproducible, repeatable processes across the team.

Ability to work cross-functionally with all levels of the organization including Engineering Services, Operations, Graphics, Marketing, and Quality.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

- Support new and existing product development, including but not limited to design, specifications, engineering drawings, testing methods, work instructions, and quality assurance.

- Act as a team contributor with inter-departmental needs when new products are introduced to insure proper technical information, and processes are defined.

- Item number generation and maintenance.

- Document specialist for finished product specifications and Bills of Material.

- Insure proper documentation of Engineering Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and Visual Method Sheets.

- Provide support to the maintenance and production peer group for requests, problem-solving, layouts, and execution of projects.

- Advancement of skill through progressive knowledge of Nice-Pak Products, Processes and Equipment, Engineering systems and techniques, while building upon and advancing those systems and methodologies.

- All other projects as assigned.

- Meet or exceed design and execution goals set by ensuring all items are processed accurately and on time.

- Meet or exceed receiving goals by ensuring all receipts are entered in a timely manner.

- Ensure corporate training is completed and up-to-date.

- Timely and accurate correspondence and communication with Operations and other required corporate functions.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred, or relevant experience

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

* Knowledge of Windows operating system, MS Word/Project/Excel/Access/Power Point and Auto-CAD.

* Analytical, mechanical aptitude and critical thinking skills with the ability to systematically approach problems and develop solutions.

* Knowledge in change configuration management through quality management systems

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

* 1-2 years leveraging Engineering Systems in Manufacturing | Production Environments

* Manufacturing | High Volume - High SKU Production environment a plus

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

* Base knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Documentation Practices

* Conducting oneself professionally in a culture where teamwork, collaboration and respect for people is paramount
