Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Purpose: Drive a positive client experience and support company growth-efficiently and innovatively influence product and process quality.

Develops, evaluates, revises, and applies technical quality assurance protocols/methods to inspect and test in-process raw materials, production equipment, and finished products. Ensures activities and items are in compliance with both company quality assurance standards and applicable government regulations. Performs analysis and identifies trends in the inspection of finished products, in-process materials and bulk raw materials, and recommends corrective actions when necessary. Ensures that established manufacturing inspection, sampling and statistical process control procedures are followed. May assure compliance to in-house and/or external specifications and standards, such asGMPsand ISO regulations. Evaluates and analyzes the efforts in organizing, documenting, and interpreting inspection support documents and records.

Supports assigned programs in order to meet internal and customer quality requirements. Analyzes reports and returned products and drives corrective action. Prepares documentation in support of quality reporting.

Develops, reviews and revises reports, procedures and documents including Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (PFMEA), Quality Plans, Control Plans and Quality Agreements.

Supports, directly contributes to, and drives a continuous improvement culture with a primary focus on prevention and Quality Assurance.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:

* Performs data analysis and trends identification on in-process and finished products, to drive root cause and corrective/preventive actions

* Participates in the Corrective and Preventive Action System (CAPA) root cause and corrective action process for utilizing 8D methodology

* Performing Material Review Board dispositions on suspected material

* Supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) activities

* Provide Quality interaction with customer representatives

Collaborates with all other functions, including but not limited to Manufacturing and Engineering, to constantly strive for and consistently achieve the shipment of 100% conforming products in the most efficient manner possible.

Education, Experience, Requirements:

Enthusiastic, curious, and passionate-- math minded & entrepreneurial a plus

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other relevant course of study

* Minimum 5 years' experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the electronic manufacturing industry

* Familiar with standards/specifications/regulatory compliance, including QSR 21 CFR Part 820 and Part 11, ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485 and IATF 16949.

* Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact and communicate

* Ability to read and interpret technical prints and drawings

* Solid experience with standard quality tools and documentation (pFMEA, Control Plans, Quality Plans, Measurement Systems Analysis)

* Ability to translate customer quality requirements into executable plans

* Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

* Familiarity with Agile and/or Oracle Databases and their use is highly desirable

.Hands on experience with quality improvement tools. (Six Sigma Tool box, DMAIC, C & E Matrix/Diagram, Value Stream Mapping, JIT, Lean Methods, Mistake Proofing and Human Error Reduction)

.Comfortable in leading Kaizen and Improvement events.
