The BSA Emergency Department proudly serves a multi-state area of the Texas Panhandle, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Colorado and Kansas. The BSA ED averages 5,250 patients per month that are treated by a by a team that consist of Board Certified Emergency physicians and a highly competent compassionate ED staff.
The Licensed Vocational Nurse is accountable for the health status and health needs of their patients based upon interpretation of health data and preventative health practices in collaboration with the patients and the interdisciplinary healthcare team members.
Licenses and Certifications:
Current Texas LVN license or Eligible for TBON GVN Permit
CPR certified from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Previous nurse tech or 1-year of staff nursing experience desired
Assess, plan, evaluates, documents total nursing process
Organized, self-motivated with exceptional follow-through skills
Computer skills necessary; EMR Epic documentation
Multi-task constantly and tolerate multiple interruptions
Clear and effective communication with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
Compassionate customer service skills
Committed to patient and family satisfaction
