Job Description:

The Division of Cancer Predisposition was formed in 2014 with the overarching mission to promote cutting-edge clinical, translational and basic research related to genetic predisposition to childhood cancer. Increasingly, evidence shows that germline mutations in susceptibility genes are associated with a significant proportion of pediatric cancers. By further elucidating the heritable nature of pediatric cancers, we aim to improve the clinical care and overall outcomes for families with increased genetic risk for cancer.

Description:

The Cancer Predisposition Project Coordinator is responsible for planning, management and completion of projects related to hereditary predisposition to cancer. Responsible for significant division undertakings, including grant preparation and management, planning, coordinating and executing projects, such as large meetings and conferences, educational initiatives, and optimizing overall operations. Works with departmental leadership to develop project scope of work documents and project plans. Uses project management skills to manage project roles, identify resource requirements, meet training needs, define project deliverables, monitor and document progress, and ensure quality and appropriate communication of projects. Ensures effective communications and relationships between customers and project team members are maintained. Spends majority of time on project management responsibilities.

* Bachelor's degree is required

* Master's degree (MBA, MHA, MIS, etc.) preferred

* Two (2) years of project management or grant management experience required

* Experience leading large-scale and wide-ranging projects preferred

* Experience in a health care setting preferred

* Project Management Certification (PMP) is preferred

* Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or Lean Six Sigma at the highest attained level preferred
