RWJBH is seeking an Assistant Trainer for our Rutgers Athletics Department. This is a full-time, day position (40hours/week).

Requirements/Qualifications:

* The successful candidate will provide services to the University's intercollegiate athletic population, as assigned by the Director of Athletic Training.

* Primary assignment is Women's Basketball, with additional responsibilities as directed by the Director of Athletic Training.

* Rutgers University is a member of the Big Ten Conference and NCAA Division I.

* Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor s Degree, BOC and New Jersey state licensure, CPR/AED certification.

* Preferred Qualifications: Master s Degree, 3 years of experience as an Athletic Trainer at the collegiate level and/or experience with elite level athletics.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will assist with the supervision and coordination of the medical care for student-athletes within the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics, including but not limited to:

* Injury prevention, evaluation, management, and treatment of athletic injuries, short-term and long-term rehabilitation of athletic injuries, education and counseling of student-athletes, and athletics related health care administration in consultation with and under the supervision of the Director of Athletic Training Services, Chief Medical Officer, Senior Associate Athletic Director/Director of Sports Medicine, Team Physician(s), and other qualified medical personnel.

* Regular day, evening and weekend hours are required; Travel is required.
