Organizations have been pushed to accelerate their digital transformation goals, including fully virtualizing their Learning & Development ecosystems.

 

We are seeking a Go-To-Market and Business Development Leader to be a compelling client-facing ambassador of our North America Digital Learning practice. Focusing particularly on elevating our sales activities and enhancing our point of view in the market, the leader will be able to clearly define and articulate the different focus offers and introduce them to business, HR, and technology stakeholders.

 

You are an industry thought leader in the Learning & Development space with a proven track record in winning new business, preferably in the Consulting industry. You will lead the development of annual new business forecasts, identification of prospective clients and their decision makers and building relationships with them, development of tailored marketing/sales strategy, leading the pursuit teams, creating & presenting the proposal with the support of a cross-functional, global team. You are an excellent communicator who builds relationships quickly and is passionate about working in a fast-paced, results-driven organization. 

 

Responsibilities:

·         Lead the optimization and development of a best-in-class Go-To-Market strategy for the L&D competency

·         Identify new business opportunities, build relationships with key influencers/decision makers at target prospects/clients

·         Cultivate business relationships through networking, industry events and outbound marketing

·         Create a net new $10M+ qualified annual pipeline either at new clients or existing clients

·         Track performance of all L&D programs on an ongoing basis to ensure strategies are effective and to spot any emerging trends/opportunities. Bring new innovative learning techniques to the forefront

·         Understand and articulate our L&D services, capabilities, benefits and competitive advantages and knowing when to involve the broader Cognizant for best results

·         Contribute quarterly industry thought leadership, e.g. whitepapers, industry presentations, etc. to evangelize our offerings and points of view to the market

·         Develop compelling client proposals and presentations

·         Become an expert in preferred industry verticals

 

Experience:

·         Successful track record (10+ years) of building and managing a L&D business within a professional services/consulting/technology services environment

·         Strong understanding of the learning domain and technology landscape, including LMS’s, LXP’s, knowledge management tools, content development tools, 3rd party L&D content providers

·         Ability to align IT strategy with business strategy

·         Ability to speak to both tactical and strategic decision makers

·         Extensive experience in creating and presenting deal-winning pitch books, responses to RFIs and RFPs

·         Demonstrated ability to take a consultative and relationship-driven approach to engaging with executives

·         Ability to communicate and contribute cross-functionally throughout the various capability groups across Cognizant, including on and offshore teams

·         Must be able to navigate a large organization and have the power of persuasion through content and confidence

·         Demonstrated ability to work across internal organizational functions to cast, pitch and sell deals with relevant subject matter expertise and practice leads

·         Should be able to conceptualize, analyze, and create blueprints for business transformations and present solutions

·         A consultancy tool box (problem solving, analytical mindset, stakeholder management, presentation skills etc.)
