The Reference Data Analyst provides operational support to Wholesale Loan Operations teams responsible for JPMorgan Agented syndicated credit structures, bilateral loans, or loan trading activity. The Analyst will manage several aspects of customer data which is universally used and centrally stored in Loan IQ. Initiating new internal requests for client onboarding, maintaining and keeping data current, interacting with downstream support teams, and ensuring adherence by all parties to the governance structure are critical tasks the data analyst will be responsible for. A successful candidate will be able to facilitate multiple demands throughout the course of business in addition to working on strategic projects assigned to the team.
Core Responsibilities:
Initiate data change requests via appropriate internal tools and follow them through completion
Add or enrich system records as required to support BAU activity
Monitor and escalate past due requests with upstream teams
Communicate and interact extensively with external parties
Provide information as requested by Clients, Business Partners, Middle Offices, and Lenders
Assuring the accuracy of loan data for quarterly regulatory reporting
Monitor control reports resolving or substantiating open issues
Understand the overall daily demand on the team and prioritize accordingly
Participate in system testing, as needed, which may occur during non-business hours
Perform quality control at critical stages in the life cycle to ensure accuracy
Back up co-workers, participate in ad hoc projects or other tasks assigned
Calculate monthly metrics for upper management
Daily reconciliation of deals on the inventory platform between an external system and ours
Working with technology for system enhancements to consolidate customer data and business initiatives
Analyze data sets to identify stale or duplicative information and mark them for elimination
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Minimum undergraduate degree from an accredited university, preferably majoring in Business, Economics, or MIS related areas of study. Relevant job and industry experience is a plus.
Strong analytical, problem solving and proven decision-making skills
General business knowledge with the ability to apply principles to new scenarios
Ability to manage concurrent assignments in an effective, efficient and organize manner
Ability to work independently within a team environment
Excellent oral and written communications skills and strong interpersonal/client servicing skills
