Job Description:

Supervisor of Outpatient Services Position Summary: The Supervisor of Outpatient Services will implement and monitor consistency and fidelity with agency values and preferred clinical approaches, coach staff to utilize skills that develop and maintain strong family partnerships, monitor the provision of services/treatment within areas of responsibility, and support the Program Manager of Outpatient Services in maintaining agency licensure.  This position has productivity expectations of 15 hours per week of direct client time. 

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Minimum of a Masters degree in Counseling, Social Work or other related field. Master's degree must also include a clinical practicum. Credentialing and professional license required. (Professional license does not include Licensed Social Worker – LSW)

  • Minimum of two years of clinical experience.

  • Minimum of one year of clinical supervisory experience in a mental health setting.

  • Must have a proven track record of implementing clinical programs.

  • Must be able to lead, motivate and coach others in a fast-paced, family-focused environment.

  • Prior experience working with an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.

  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must be able to adjust hours to job requirements.

  • Must have access to a telephone.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

  • Must be eligible for Pennsylvania State Police clearance, Pennsylvania Child Abuse History clearance and FBI clearance.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS A DEMONSTRATED KNOWLEDGE IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:


  • Clinical based practices including DSM-5, clinical interventions, etc.

  • Coaching practices

  • Outpatient Regulations

  • Department of Human Services regulations

  • Trauma-informed care

  • APA Ethical Standards

  • Crisis Intervention Strategies

POSITION SPECIFIC CORE COMPETENCIES:
Implement and monitor consistency and fidelity with agency values and preferred clinical approaches.
1.    Coach Glade Run philosophy to supervisees through weekly supervision and observation, training, coaching and mentoring techniques.  Keep log or maintain appropriate documentation. 
2.    Implement monitoring tools to assure supervisees’ use the Glade Run values in service delivery. 
3.    Coach supervisees to write measurable individualized goals which are tied to the individual/family definition of needs to succeed at home. 

Coach staff to utilize skills that develop and maintain strong family partnerships.
1.    Ensure that strengths-needs-cultural-discovery (SNCD) is conducted and utilized with each consumer and family by regular audits of the record. 
2.    Ensure the rights, dignity, and confidentiality of all clients are maintained.
3.    Coach staff to assist families to identify team/support people and that each individual are involved in decision making.
            
Monitor the provision of services/treatment within areas of responsibility.
1.    Ensure that the health and safety of individuals served and staff is maintained in alignment with Sanctuary principals and practices, regulatory requirements, accreditation standards and agency policies. 
2.    Teach/coach current best practice interventions/approaches by conducting regular observations of interventions and interactions. 
3.    Review all treatment plans and related documentation to assure that treatment occurs at the established frequency and meets agency values. 
4.    Assign referrals to therapists that are matched to their skill and strengths. 
5.    Lead monthly supervision meetings to ensure that organizational goals, program and operating policies are communicated, understood and followed by all staff. 
6.    Evaluate delivery of clinical services to ensure that highly individualized goals can be generalized home through direct observation, weekly supervision, family feedback, etc.
7.    Work collaboratively with psychiatrists to provide care that meets consumer needs. 
8.    Must meet agency productivity standards. 

Support the Director or Program Manager of Outpatient Services in maintaining agency licensure.
1.    Collaborate with Quality and Compliance department to monitor staff training compliance. 
2.    Review and audit consumer files in coordination with Quality and Compliance department. 
3.    Coach the therapists and supervisors in the clinical orientation and skilled intervention techniques adopted by Glade Run Lutheran Services.
4.    Review progress notes and ensure they meet all clinical and regulatory standards.

Fiscal oversight and monitoring costs of assigned program area.
1.    Monitor productivity of program staff through established tools.
2.    With Quality and Compliance, monitor insurance authorizations. 
3.    With Program Manager of Outpatient, determine staffing resources and program needs.
