The Developer Experience Product Manager will join the Digital Connect Domain and obsess with the developer experience in this hands-on thought leadership role. The individual will be responsible for driving the vision, roadmap, and execution to deliver a great developer experience. Working with a team of talented payment experts, field partners and software engineers, you will lead the development and delivery of end-to-end client experience. The Senior Product Manager will focus on driving improvements to the client journey, development of the product roadmap, and end-to-end product delivery from concept initiation to production. Success will be highly correlated with strong collaborative and influencing abilities across a highly matrixed environment. The ideal candidate possesses the perfect blend of developer-thinking and product vision while being able to apply that vision to new and existing applications. The Senior Product Manager will need to drive the balance between the ideal product and the minimum marketable product always thinking ahead for how best to improve the developer experience.

Responsibilities:


  • Be a steward of the client experience leading the delivery of efficient, effective and client obsessed solutions.
  • Build a strategy to improve the technical content which supports Merchant Services clients, software integrators, and internal business partners.
  • Closely track industry trends and adapt your strategy accordingly maintaining awareness of cost versus benefit, and minimum marketable product.
  • Collaborate with a team comprised of Product Managers, Technical Writers, Business Architects, Sales and Relationship Managers, and Clients to design and drive the ideal end-to-end developer experience.
  • Establish thought leadership and developer-centric vision for how integration documentation should be organized and presented in a modern payments first API storefront
  • Unravel complex designs and bring order from chaos; reduce complexity making complex APIs easy to navigate and consume.
  • Build an online developer community to understand merchant/developer needs, changes in industry landscape, and help drive transformative solutions.
  • Support all controls and compliance requirements and ensure that all pre and post launch conditions are met in order to release product on time and within budget
  • Create and deliver experiences that delight and positively influence both internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of product management, development, leadership or related experience.
  • Strong functional knowledge of API principles, including REST, Swagger, Open API, integration patterns, and documentation.
  • Passionate about development and technology as a career or hobbyist.
  • Conversational knowledge of version control systems, encryption, and coding.
  • Experience writing or consuming technical documentation, articles, or online sites.
  • Experience developing product strategy and establishing product positioning.
  • Ability to develop creative solutions to achieve goals.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Leadership experience as well as strong organizational skills.
  • Understanding of product development lifecycle and deployment of new payment solutions.
  • Process improvement and client journey mapping.
  • Talent for communication of complex developer topics.
  • General business acumen with a preference for payments or fintech.
  • Capable of building relationships and collaborating across the organization.
