NVIDIA is searching for an AI Applications System SW Architect for the development and prototyping a new class of products and appliances for our Metropolis platforms. Data is the lifeblood of the modern city. Today, it's being gathered by over 500 million cameras worldwide, and that number is growing exponentially. This is creating a tsunami of information that's impossible for humans to analyze. AI is the key to turning this information into insight. It's transforming how we collect, inspect, and analyze data to impact everything from public safety, traffic, and parking management to law enforcement and city services. This challenging role will require someone who deeply understands and can develop applications and systems that advance the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning to the Intelligent Video Analytics market. Practical experience in the use and the building of AI Inference tools and components with a good knowledge of computer vision techniques in both cloud and embedded infrastructure are helpful.  

What you'll be doing:

• As a key member of our Metropolis team, you will analyze, develop and prototype key deep learning and video analytics algorithms and applications.
  
  


• Work directly and collaborate with different software vendors and partners, across geographies for solving critical performance bottlenecks and accuracy tradeoffs.
  
  


• Understand and analyze the interplay of hardware and software architectures on future algorithms and applications.
  
  


• Perform in-depth analysis and optimization to ensure the best possible performance on current- and next-generation GPU architectures.
  
  


• Collaborate closely with the architecture, research, libraries, tools, and system software teams at NVIDIA to influence the design of next-generation architectures, software platforms, and programming models.
  
  

What we need to see:

• MS or PhD in Image Processing, Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science and related field or equivalent experience.
  
  


• 8-10+ years of experience in relevant SW development stack.
  
  


• Strong mathematical foundation in machine learning, deep learning and Computer Vision.
  
  


• Strong programming skills & knowledge in C/ C++, software design, CUDA and Python.
  
  


• Experience working with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow and pyTorch.
  
  


• Ability to conceptualize and architect algorithms for different applications.

• Strong communication and organization skills with logical approach to problem solving.
  
  


• Strong Experience with systems-level performance modeling, profiling, and analysis.
