Job Description

The Equipment Maintenance Technician - Night shift will be based in Libertyville IL. In this position, you will be responsible for machine installations, maintaining and repairing injection molding machinery and auxiliary equipment such as robotics, material handling, central drying system, conveyor systems and other associated production equipment within a 70,000 square foot facility with 80+ molding machines for medical molding.

“This is a night shift position and you will be eligible to a $3,000 USD Sign On bonus.”

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:

• Through troubleshooting, identify machine malfunctions and isolate the failure mechanism


• Repair the failure mechanism in the most cost-effective manner


• Perform preventive maintenance at specified intervals and schedules


• Perform calibrations and re-qualifications on equipment at specified intervals and schedules


• Read electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics to troubleshoot machines


• Work on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic or computerized systems


• Assist process technicians and engineers with the installation and removal of process equipment


• Analyze and implement corrective action reports and process tracking mechanisms


• Record times and problems in equipment logs


• Provide daily equipment functioning activity information


• Set up standard and special purpose laboratory equipment to test, evaluate and calibrate other instruments and test equipment


• Disassemble instruments and equipment and inspect components for defects


• Align repairs, replaces and balances component parts and circuitry

Here is some of what you’ll need (required):

• Minimum 2 years of equipment maintenance experience


• Experience maintaining and repairing injection molding machinery


• Strong experience in the plastics industry maintaining and repairing injection molding machines

• Computer skills


• Experience with material handling, automation and/or robotics equipment


• Troubleshooting experience


• Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Excel & Power Point)
