Job Summary

This position will primarily assist in administering Zimmer Biomet’s compensation programs for the North American organizations ensuring internal equity and external competitiveness. This individual will work with the Compensation Associate Director to provide internal compensation support and analysis including total rewards programs, market data analysis, and other related compensation programs.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

· Assist with annual compensation projects including the annual performance incentive plan (bonus), equity and merit administration. · Performs job analysis and benchmarks positions to the market, including salaried, hourly, and management level positions. Produces benchmark reports and pay recommendations. · Leads the annual survey participation. · Assist with the implementation of total compensation programs, including base pay, variable pay and long-term incentives. · Coordinate and promote awareness of core compensation processes, including job documentation and evaluation process to develop and maintain standardized job descriptions. · Assist in the development of communications associated with employee compensation activities. · Assists in the evaluation of alternative methods of compensation and design of compensation packages for various functional areas and levels of management. · Uses ad hoc queries and to extract data from HRIS. · Actively look for and recommend other compensation tools to assist in meeting business needs. · Assists with implementing HRIS tools to improve efficiency in compensation administration. · Assist with determining exemption status under FLSA guidelines. · Works on special compensation projects as assigned.

Expected Areas of Competence

• Possess functional knowledge of compensation practices. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products. • Working knowledge of HRIS with SAP preferred. • Ability to build relationships with internal clients, understand and improve business processes. • Ability to deal effectively with various levels of employees on highly confidential information. • Strong organizational skills with the skill to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. • Must be able to manage in a fast pace environment and have strong work ethic. • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and proactive attitude to work Strong written and oral communications

Education/Experience Requirements

• B.A. or B.S. in Human Resources, Business Administration or Finance plus a minimum of 5 years Human Resources experience with an emphasis in compensation preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Work towards CCP, PHR or appropriate certification a plus
