What you will do
You will support the generation and evolution of the Transportation Management System application strategy for Johnson Controls by delivering business solutions for both local and global business teams. You will also execute transparent IT processes for full solution lifecycle and drive continuous improvement in solution performance, reliability, compliance, and efficiency.
How you will do it
Implementation Roadmap: support the creation and maintenance of a Transportation Management System implementation roadmap maximizing company benefits.
Project Proposals: responsible for generating end-to-end solution proposals recommendations to business requirements, including the proposed solution architecture, estimated cost, time, internal effort as well as implementation risks, including partner recommendations.
Project Delivery: responsible for the implementation of such projects, including solution design, development, testing, deployment and post go live support and transition to IT Operations, fulfilling all business requirements on time, budget and quality.
Enhancement Management: responsible for the supervision of the small Enhancement queue for Transportation Management System applications, from inception to deployment.
Continuous Improvement: coach, establish and influences the usage of technical best practices across the operations organization. Coordinates and ensures data governance methodologies are adhered to within our environment.
Organization Interaction:
Support IT Business Partners and user community in opportunity definition, business case build and, in the elicitation, and validation of business requirements
Collaborate with ERP and Enterprise Integration teams in defining and delivering end-to-end solutions, including system integrations
Work with the ePMO organization in building project plans and in project coordination for application delivery activities
Interact with Application Support leaders on defining support solution designs as well as with the transition to the Managed Services team responsible for day-to-day support
Collaborate with Global Infrastructure and Global Security teams in defining and delivering solutions

This position will focus on Transportation processes, including Supply Chain Network Design, Transportation Planning and Optimization, Transportation Execution, Transportation Financial Management and Reporting, Trade Compliance, supporting our Manufacturing and Distribution operations globally

What we look for
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent work experience
5+ years of Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) Implementation experience
5+ years of experience building enterprise applications, supply chain business processes, and experience with the Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) System software
Successful completion of at least 2 end-to-end OTM projects as a Solution Architect or in a techno-functional role
Previous experience implementing OTM/GTM in a global environment
Understanding of OTM Technical Architecture, GLOG XML structure and OTM servlets
Previous experience in the functional domain of OTM and well-versed with the OTM configurations involving the following: Transportation Operational Planning, Freight Payment, Billing and Claims, Carrier (Contract, Rate, Capacity and Commitment) Management, Transportation Intelligence and GTM
Experience with OTM Customizations and Integrations with Oracle, other ERPs and legacy applications
Knowledge of Workflows (Automation Agents) and OTM Functional Architecture
Preferred:
SOA BPEL knowledge for integration of OTM with other systems
PL/SQL Scripting knowledge
Java/JSP knowledge
Knowledge in XSLs and/or Custom Screen sets
