Cognizant is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Artificial Intelligence and Analytics practice (AIA). As a trusted advisor, responsible for providing an approach for the overall project. As a domain specialist, you will drive technology discussions and analyze the existing gaps in addressing business needs. Location

Dearborn, MI – Work will be onsite post COVID and remote to start

 
Responsibilities:

• Able to work with Business teams to document requirements, work with IT Operations/shared service teams for developing and implementing solutions, conduct (UAT) user acceptance test, and provide the weekly status.


• Able to prioritize and work on multiple tasks involving with other multiple Ford application teams simultaneously.


• Able to learn and implement the solutions with new technologies as per business requirement.

 
Qualifications:

• Development experience in Java technologies and Hadoop ecosystem


• Operating System and utilities: Windows 2012/2016/2019 server, with Working knowledge of J2EE web application,


• Windows Scheduling/Autosys Scheduling,


• IIS/FTP sites, Windows Services, Command level scripting.


• Java or Apache Spark, for reading Hive database and loading data onto Solr, with Kerberos authentication


• DotNet (C#) to search Solr and pull data with Kerberos authentication Tableau or QlikView


• Angular 8/9, Spring Boot Web with REST API


• Data Analytics, Data warehousing, Data transformation, Big Data (Hadoop), Dashboard development with Tableau, QlikView and Alteryx


• Java(IBM/Oracle/OpenJDK) 8 or higher, IBM RSA (9.0 or higher), IntelliJ 2019/2020  Java Development environment to support code development and ASP .Password encryption, .FTP/FTPS/SFTP, File Handling, .File data format validation and data conversion between file content JSON/XML/CSV/flat file, Jar packaging for deploying the code, and testing


• MS Access with .Linked Oracle database .Forms/Reports/VBA code development. Facilitating to Print/download report for communicating to business team.


• ODBC setup, configuration and test: .Teradata, DB2, Oracle, Hive, SQL Server,


• VB.net/C#.net (Visual Studio 2019 or higher). Interact with Active Directory/ADFS Claims to read user information, create and deploy DLLs.


• Working knowledge of Tomcat/WebSphere/Liberty web server, PCF environment and configuration


• Database: Oracle, DB2, SQL server, IMS


• Optionally, Mainframe (z/OS) environment knowledge
