Haskell is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our growing St. Louis team. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience as an Electrical and Controls Engineer in the food and beverage manufacturing industry. Our Sr. Electrical Engineer is expected to execute a project from beginning to end and can lead a team of electrical engineers and designers in all aspects of a project. Knowledge and experience with Medium Voltage (MV) power distribution and substations is desired. You must have a P.E. license in Electrical Engineering to be considered.

Design & Consulting Services: Haskell's Design & Consulting Services (DCS) Group unites architecture, engineering, and consulting professionals from across industries and geographies. While some clients are looking for turnkey design-build or engineer-procure-construct projects, the DCS Group serves clients who need specialized, fee-for-service design or consulting projects. These types of projects allow our team to form a strong rapport with client teams, marshaling them as they grow and helping them address industry and market challenges. The DCS Group serves four primary markets: Government, primarily Department of Defense, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Air and Army National Guard, and the U.S. Naval Facilities Command; Industrial, focusing on food and beverage, consumer products, and utilities; Civil Infrastructure; and Healthcare.

Responsibilities/ Duties:

- Conceptual Design:

- Understand and determine customer needs and define the services needed to provide an effective project.

- Develop budgets and proposals.

- Develop project concept plans and associated detailed documents.

- Electrical Design:

- Design of Medium Voltage (MV) power distribution and substations.

- Able to design and write vendor specifications for MV transformers and Secondary Low Voltage Switchgear.

- Be able to perform Power Studies using SKM Software or similar.

- Control Design:

- Design low voltage power and control systems for automated process or packaging applications including control system panels, motor control center design, safety systems, and Control System Architecture design.

- General:

- Working knowledge of the NFPA 70 National Electric Code.

- Prepare scopes of work, bills of material, specifications, and other necessary project documents.

- Review, check and hand-edit electrical drawings.

- Project Leadership:

- Provide engineering managers with reports on project progress with respect to work completed and work still required, actual time requirements, versus estimates, and technical matters related to assigned projects.

- Represent electrical team in both internal and external (Clients/Vendors) design reviews throughout the project.

- Track cost and scheduling of engineering services.

- Direct and coordinate all work related to assigned projects.

- Lead Electrical and Controls personnel assigned to the project.

- Maintain project communications through regular review meetings and day-to-day contact.

- Assure that all contractual requirements are satisfied.

- Group Leadership:

- Mentor other Electrical and Controls team members on learned technical job skills.

- Maintain positive client relationships and develop potential work opportunities.

Education and Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with minimum 8+ years discipline experience.

- Licensed Professional Engineer. NCEES Record Number holder preferred.
