POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Division Vice President of Business Development, the Market VP is responsible for driving profitable growth, managing a portfolio of market level service lines and ensuring collaboration across all care settings in a manner that leverages the collective market strength and position of the HCA East Florida Division in the designated Market. Responsibilities include:

Achieve Service Line Development Goals by:

* Setting overall strategy for the portfolio of all market level service lines in all settings, including:

* Work closely with Hospital CEOs for all matters pertaining to profitable service line growth

* Oversee business planning and program development

* Determine capital allocation, system configuration, and capacity planning

* Engage national service line leaders, the division/market Chief Medical Officer, managed care, and supply chain to plan for emerging trends in terms of quality improvement, clinical protocols, technology, reimbursement, medical management, and supply utilization

* Managing activities related to growing business, including:

* Physician Recruitment and Retention in coordination with HCAPS

* Sales Initiatives (including CRM tools and processes)

* Marketing & Branding

* Market level intelligence on competitors and consumers

* Directing service line development, implementation and management activities, including:

* Supervise planning process and implementation activities with Division and Hospital Leadership

* Participate in budgeting process

* Improve service line profitability (e.g., cost structure)

* Ensure service line quality (e.g., clinical outcomes, credentialing/privileging, processes, services, satisfaction).align to division/market and national quality standards and best demonstrated practices

Service Line Portfolio Performance Metrics:

* Market share stabilization/growth

* Net revenue & volume growth

* Contribution and EBDITA Margins (Service Line P&Ls)

* Quality & Process Indicators (e.g., core measures)

* Successful service line development and implementation

* Physician Retention and Loyalty rates

QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business or a related field

* Master's degree in healthcare, business or a related field

* 3+ years of experience in an acute care hospital environment with relevant service line responsibilities

* 3+ years of experience in an executive level position with responsibility for the relevant service line

* Demonstrated expertise in negotiation, coaching and interpersonal skills

* Skill in communicating information in an open and sincere manner that promotes credibility

* Skill in recognizing strategic business opportunities resulting from changes in the economic, technological, political/legal, or social environments

* Strategic planning and business development, strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, and physician relations
