Job Description:

responsibilities of a Dialysis Technician:

* Provides direct patient care including performing patient treatment from start to finish and handling daily operations between patient and dialysis machine.

* Responsible for basic water room testing related tasks.

* Responsible for opening and closing the unit and water room.

* Responds to machine alarms according to established procedures.

* Responds to emergency situations with appropriate treatment as directed by the RN.

* Assists in the patient discharge and transfer practices, as directed by the RN

* Performs dialysis required laboratory procedures and quality contrOl

WHAT WE\'RE LOOKING FOR

* High school diploma or equivalent

* Valid and current CPR certification

* Must have prior experience in a medical setting or customer service environment.

* One year recent experience as a Dialysis Technician, Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant, Phlebotomist, Surgical Technician, First Responder, EMT, ED Tech or LPN, Nursing Assistant preferred.

* Must obtain CMS recognized certification as a Dialysis Technician within 18 months of hire

* Demonstrates basic computer skills and proficiency in MD Word and Outlook
