In this critical role on our Clinical Mobile Stroke Unit (MSU), you will bring a high level of expertise to the care and management of complex adult stroke patients requiring ICU and telemetry care during the transport process. You will provide an in-depth assessment of the patient s needs as you assume clinical decision-making responsibility. This position involves close collaboration with physicians, paramedics, and other health professionals. As a clinical expert and research facilitator, you will use evidence-based knowledge to mentor and improve the skill level of colleagues and staff from referring institutions. The role also includes participation in maintaining MSU research protocols, quality data collection and patient follow up.Qualifications

We re seeking a highly-skilled clinical leader with current CA RN license and:
- BSN or MSN
- ACLS, CCRN, CNRN, SCRN certification
- NIH certification preferred
- Transport experience
- Strong background in neurological and stroke assessment
- Flexibility in traveling and working in two locations where the Mobile Stroke Unit operates
- Ability to work in a moving vehicle
- Exceptional communication, leadership and teamwork skills
- Expertise in developing a plan of care and implementing and evaluate appropriate interventions
- Clinical knowledge necessary to provide patient, family and staff education
- Interest in the quality data collection and research activities
