POSITION SUMMARY:
The Trauma Registrar is responsible for the management of all components of the Trauma Registry and trauma informatics including clinical case review, data retrieval and collection, data download and entry from other database applications and sources, data cleaning, statistics, analysis, accurately assigning ICD 9/10 codes, submitting comprehensive trauma registry data to the WA State DOH and presentation of data both internally and externally. This position requires a high level of skill in interpreting the clinical care provided to trauma patients and advanced computing and database administration. Work situations are highly varied, as organizational priorities shift, and require a detailed-orientated person with technical expertise in the use of computers and PC software, strong interpersonal and organization skills, discretion and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive organizational and patient information. This position works closely with the Trauma Program Manager (TPM) and Trauma Medical Director(s) (TMD) for the facilitation of the Trauma Quality & Performance Improvement Programs which encompasses all areas and disciplines of the hospital that participate in the care of admitted injured patients.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Acute care support position experience in the field of trauma or emergency care preferred

EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Minimum AA or a combination of post high school administrative course work preferred

Two State Trauma Registrar courses must be taken within 90 days or no more than 12 months prior to being placed in the position.
