The eDiscovery Data Processing Analyst will provide Operational Support to the FDA s eDiscovery team and systems, including program administrative and customer support, direct technical support, network and systems administration support

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
* Take a key role in operating the FDA instance of Relativity, primarily focused on the loading/processing of ESI data into Relativity and on the creation of Production deliverables to industry standards.
* Provides guidance to the FDA eDiscovery team and their internal customers on industry best practices with regard to the processing and production of ESI. Responsibilities include:
* Development of best practice models: oversee and monitor team best practices, develop and promote standard protocols for re-occurring services, etc.
* Providing consulting services to case teams regarding best practices for the use of legal technology.
* Identifies and understands problems or issues through analysis of multiple data sources to draw effective conclusions and chooses the most effective course of action considering the broad business impacts.
* Contributes to documentation and deliverables, such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) how-to guides and training
* Develops and documents processing exception identification and protocols for handling/resolution of processing exceptions. Maintains standard workspace and user roles.
* Supports the execution of reviews in Relativity by:
* Forging collaborative partnerships with diverse teams of project managers and legal professionals to meet critical deadlines.
* Assisting users (attorneys, paralegals, project managers, etc.) in the support of instance of Relativity.
* Creates workspaces, maintains all instance administrative needs, and assists team with troubleshooting.
* Providing support eDiscovery technical tasks used throughout the entirety of eDiscovery data lifecycle as well as generalized technical analysis and troubleshooting for example, understanding how to address issues such as corrupted files and other Processing exceptions.
* Ensure accuracy of data loading, manipulation, and conversion by performing and documenting quality checks in accordance with specifications.
* Perform Quality Control of processed data in Relativity Review platform.
* Creates productions, exports, and other deliverable in industry standard formats.
* Supports the technical operations of the systems, including:
* Coordinating with the Information Technology (IT) team to ensure Relativity systems are working at optimal levels.
* Assessing the technical impact of, and contributing to the planning and execution of upgrades.
* Assisting in the completion of Smoke testing after designated events (outages, patching, upgrades, etc.).
Position Requirements
Experience:
* Must be a U. S. Citizen and possess, or be able to obtain/maintain, a Public Trust clearance.
* Three to five years experience using Relativity, processing ESI, and providing eDiscovery services.
Education:
Bachelor s degree required.
Technical Skills Required:
* Relativity experience required (Relativity Certified Administrator preferred). Additional certifications, specifically Relativity Processing Specialist, are also preferred.
* Hands-on experience with Relativity Processing (ingesting data, resolving exceptions, creating indexes, etc.) is strongly preferred. Experience with other processing tools (NUIX, Law) considered favorably.
* Experience creating Productions from Relativity (creating load files (OPT/LFP), text files, and .dat files to production specifications, producing redacted documents and associated text, etc.), is strongly desired.
* Strong working knowledge of SQL (desired).
* Experience configuring Relativity workspaces to included: creating coding fields, event handlers, batch creation and workflow design and batching, search term report (STR) creation, and complex search creation.
* Requires a minimum of three years experience contributing to teams delivering litigation support services.
* Minimum of three years experience in the development and implementation of processes to litigation matters, or comparable experience.
* Must have at least five years experience with and a working knowledge of software applications utilized for litigation support.
* Strong working knowledge of the EDRM lifecycle as managed at FDA
* Proven strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with business users, managers and non-technical staff.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences.
* Ability to train operations team members in using Relativity for efficiency and best fit to FDA processes.
* Experience with preparing presentations, reports, tables, graphs, and observations for presentation to technical and non-technical audience.
* Demonstrated ability to write well and adapt information into required formats for documents. (required).
* Experience working in a consulting environment (desired).
* Experience with Federal contracting processes (desired).
* Experience with managing multiple priorities and tight timelines.
* Extensive PC skills including Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, Visio, Project, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
* Flexibility to work overtime, as needed, to include weekends, holidays, and off-hours.
Working Environment & Conditions
This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The work load may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
