SmartCop is seeking a Geographic Information System (GIS) Analyst skilled in ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Online in data visualization to join our team!

As the SmartCOP GIS analyst you will be knowledgeable and efficient in designing, maintaining, and editing GIS data, routing networks, and geocoders for use in SmartCOP mapping applications. 

We’re seeking an in-the-know analyst who closely monitors and applies the best industry practices, maintains data integrity, and has the desire to go above and beyond to provide our customers with the best GIS solutions possible.

• The ability to communicate needs, deliver training, and provide GIS-related technical support to both internal assets and our end-users. 


• Manage the necessary hardware and software required to create and maintain GIS data as well as create SmartCOP-specific mapping deliverables. 


•  The ability to develop sustainable systems and methods for tracking, collecting, and managing GIS resources both internally and from our customers. 


• The right person for this position is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized. You should be a quick learner, easily adaptable, and use clear and concise communication methods.



• Knowledge of modern cartographic standards, Integrated GPS and GIS principles

• Ability to work closely and communicate with law enforcement and public safety professionals.

What we are looking for:

Technical Requirements

• 3+ years of proven experience in a GIS analyst or technician position




• 1+ year(s) experience with ArcGIS Pro

Education Requirements

• BS in GIS Analysis, Environmental Science, Geography, or closely related field.




• Substitution of any demonstrated combination of experience and education which provides the applicant with the required knowledge and abilities is acceptable.

Other Requirements

• Ability to collaborate and participate in meetings during regular work hours in the North American Central Time zone.
