Job Description:
Gonzalez Group in Pontiac , MI is looking for a Tool Maker for a 1st shift opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Capable of using material handling equipment with proven competence
- Able to determine assembly process from mechanical blueprints
- Troubleshoot all levels of tool and die problems in the tool room and at the machine.
- Install fence, cable tray, sealer equipment, camera stations, tooling, framing systems, light screens, and gate keys.
- Snap chalk lines and install floor plates
- Read mechanical blueprints and bill of material
- Assembly units
- Ability to drill, tap and ream holes
- Use of hand saw, drill press and grinders
Qualifications:
- Must be self-directed and have the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Experience in a production manufacturing environment.
- Technical education or experience as a machinist/technician
You should be proficient in:
- Manual machining
- Tool/Die/Mold Setups
- Tool/Die/Mold Repair
- Blueprint Reading
