  Quality Control Chemist 3rd Shift 

Apex is currently seeking an accomplished QC Chemist  to contribute to the success of our customers by ensuring quality through evaluation of raw material, bulk, and finished products and ensure compliance to specifications.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Perform testing and evaluations of raw material, bulk and finished products in accordance to written procedures.

  • Ensures product quality specifications and customer standards are met and maintained to the Customers’ satisfaction.

  • Utilizes data to focus improvement efforts so customer requirements and regulatory regulations are met.

  • Understand and maintain a culture of “lean action” within the department so that we live lean better than any organization.

  • Perform other work as assigned.

Prior Experience:  0-2 years GMP lab experience; prefer a minimum of 6 months experience in a Chemistry lab environment such as pharmaceutical, cosmetics, personal care, food processing, etc.  

Knowledge Requirements:  To be effective, this position requires the ability to multi task, demonstrate a sense of urgency, and the ability to organize.  Lab experience normally acquired through a 4-year college degree in Chemistry, Biology or related science discipline and/or equivalent experience is needed.   

Technical Competencies:


  • Must have knowledge and experience with wet chemistry techniques including analytical balance, volumetric  glassware, pH,  titration; UV/Vis and FTIR experience is preferred. 

  • Can maintain and grow technical knowledge and expertise. Can be accurate, precise and pay attention to detail.

  • Can read and follow written work instructions and specifications.


  • Ability to perform testing, review testing data and report on results.
