Job Description:

Credit Union

Responsible for supporting and building Infrastructure Datacenter systems, optimizing network hardware, supporting software applications, and maintaining communication links. Participate in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure system provisioning and maintenance that is consistent with company goals, industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and other duties as assigned.

Monday - Friday 9am - 6pm (weekends as needed)

Education/Certification:       

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

 MCSE certification or equivalent certification preferred.

 MCSA certification or equivalent certification preferred.

                                               

Required Knowledge:             

Experience with VMWare, Windows Servers, AIX, and Linux; experience with high availability configurations, disaster recovery failover, and windows clustering; experience with technical troubleshooting; knowledge of network protocols, equipment, and diagramming and inventory of network; ability to support users onsite and remotely; knowledge of network security, vulnerabilities, and countermeasures.

Experience Required:            

3-5 years of experience with virtualized environment including windows clustering and datacenter recovery failover.

5+ years of software and hardware support services required.

Configuration network support functions.

Skills/Abilities:                        

Strong customer service skills and willingness to assist others.

Able to communicate complex information clearly with the ability to present troubleshooting steps in user-friendly language.

High level of attention to detail.

Ability to absorb and retain information quickly.

Strong documentation and problem solving skills.

Able to coordinate well with other departments and personnel.

Ability to operate network server, computer drives and other business equipment.
