Dura-Line is seeking a subject matter expert in Lean Manufacturing Techniques that will be our new Operational Excellence Senior Manager that will work with the manufacturing sites across the Americas. You will act as a liaison between global cross-functional groups and business units to ensure compliance and harmonization.

In this exciting and new role, you will get a chance to bring their firsthand work experience leading and deploying Operational Excellence (OPEX) program and processes, including the definition of program performance, program governance guidance and cadence, training material creation and execution, reporting structure, and managing on-going project related to OPEX!

As a member of the Corporate Quality & OPEX team, we need a highly motivated individual to work with the entire Dura-Line family to design the strategy, develop the program, implement the process, lead cross-functional teams, analyze metrics to evaluate results, and recommend action plans.

As a true leader, you will create and deploy lean program processes (remote and on-site) to ensure proper application of Lean techniques and continuous improvement initiatives that align with business strategies. You will be responsible for centralizing global policies, develop and conduct training, and drive operational excellence. We are a people-centric company, and collaboration is needed to succeed. You will work closely with internal customers to develop an integrated and coordinated quality system strategy, with objectives designed to departmental and company compliance​.

In this role, you will get the opportunity to be a change agent and enable people. We need someone to listen to the problems at the various manufacturing plants, use lean tools, value stream mapping, and root cause analysis, and who can prioritize and provide innovative solutions.

We need a Subject Matter Expert in lean tools to work in a learning environment to deploy the tools to create value for the American sites.​ You will conducts OPEX – Lean Maturity Index (LMI’s) assessments, track progression/KPI/Metrics, measure engagement, use a scorecard, identify performance gaps, work through the leadership team to prioritize improvement activities and close gaps, and ​assist the manufacturing plants with improvement activities including training, mentoring, facilitating Kaizen events, improvement projects, tool deployment, benchmarking, etc.​

This is a very critical and crucial role in the organization. Not only in experience, but we need a facilitator that will set up and work with the manufacturing plant and assist in implementing and driving a lean manufacturing culture- LEAN is more than a set of problem-solving tool, it is a mentality, a foundation, a mindset. That is why we need an expert leader in lean-to to deploy these initiatives and conduct training and coaching on OPEX process solutions.

Besides developing the foundation, you will standardize best practices across the different American plants and deployment of OPEX (lean manufacturing) program and apply core tools like Control Plans, Process Flows, Production Part Approval Process, measurement systems analysis (MSA), statistical process control (SPC), and more.

What else can help you succeed in this role? A successful track record for defining and implementing lean manufacturing techniques (10+ years of work experience) in a multi-site environment in the automotive, aerospace, consulting, or manufacturing industry. An ability to train, communicate, and influence multi-level teams globally. A strategic focus, with the ability to identify and prioritize the most critical and impactful issues and opportunities to drive long-term success. You must be able to synthesize data and summarize outcomes to provide recommendations on a compliant path forward. It is a plus if you have an SME Lean certification or Lean Master Certification.
