POSITION SUMMARY:

Under technical direction of the Data and BI Architect the Database Developer supports the data model and associated data warehousing for the Strategic Intelligence Group. Provides technical support for development of BI solutions and performs data modeling and detailed requirements analysis for development projects. Responsible for adhering to reporting standards and assessing and understanding detailed business requirements for operational, analytic and executive reporting to design, develop and support business intelligence solutions. The Database Developer is responsible for supporting the company's Mission, Vision, and Values, and complies with corporate policy and procedures, efficiently managing activities and resources, and ensures appropriate integration with the overall plan for the delivery of care and services.

* Collaborates with all members of Strategic Intelligence Group and provides access to an overarching Data Architecture within the Data Warehouse, Services Oriented Architecture Design, and the overall Information Architecture Implementation.

* Designs, develops and enhances data models using SQL.

* Test designs to ensure the system runs smoothly.

* Capacity plan and properly identify required hardware, software, database configuration/architecture necessary to support application needs

* Responsible for system performance of the data tier and the reliability of data feeds across the enterprise system

* Read, analyze, and digest what the client wants to accomplish with its data, and design the best possible ETL process around those goals.

* Develop visualizations using SSAS, SSRS, and SSIS.

* Use interactive reporting features by providing links to sub-reports and drill-through reports

* Automate report distribution through standard and data-driven subscriptions

* Maintain existing data warehouse for reporting and data analytics

* Develop data cleansing routines utilizing typical data quality functions involving standardization, transformation, rationalization, linking and matching.

* Assist correction of BI performance bottlenecks and debugging application or data content related issues.

* Participate in the development and support of reporting solutions including program modifications, performance tuning, problem solving, debugging, and unit testing.

* Identifies and effectively communicates technology needs and/or investments needed to support team goals and success.

* Develops customer trust and builds team reputation as highly skilled experts in strategic decision support.

* Manages timely flow of business intelligence information to users.

* Integrate operational, financial, and clinical information to assist leadership with business decisions

QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor's Degree in IT or related field - Preferred

* One year experience operating with relational databases - Required

* One year experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS

* One year experience with ETL and performance loading

* Healthcare background - Preferred
