POSITION SUMMARY:

The Sr. Business Intelligence Developer develops Business Intelligence tools and products, ultimately equipping business owners and business units with insights related to clinical outcomes, operational efficiency, financial performance and other initiatives as directed. The Sr. Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for supporting the company's Mission, Vision, and Values, and complies with corporate policy and procedures, efficiently managing activities and resources, and ensures appropriate integration with the overall plan for the delivery of care and services.

* Assesses competitive market strategies through analysis of related product, market, or share trends

* Synthesizes current business intelligence or data modelling to support recommendations for action

* Communicate with customers, competitors, suppliers, professional organizations, or others to stay abreast of industry or business trends (to ensure the latest technology and methods are used for the care and improvement of human life)

* Manage timely flow of business intelligence information to users. (Create algorithms for automated tasks)

* Aggregate business intelligence data from available industry reports, public information, field reports, purchased sources, and available repositories

* Ensures integrity and security of all internally generated data including, but not limited to Diagnosis, Discharge, E.H.R., Finance and related information

* Completes data reconciliation as directed

* Develops data reporting standardization across all division facilities and business units.

* Data reconciliation of financial statements and operating reports, with the identification and amendment of discrepancies.

* Compiles monthly Net Revenue Analysis reports for use in comparative analysis financial performance for key payors

* Identifies and corrects General Ledger and Net Revenue variances based on analysis

* Supports contract negotiations through comparative analysis of current versus proposed payor contract terms.

* Models current payor contract terms in Product Management system within a timely manner for accurate reporting and use in comparative analysis.

* Collects costing data by attending semi-annual costing meetings with department Specialists. Develops, loads, calculates and maintains departmental RVUs in the Product Management system and costing folders.

* Compiles and loads overhead statistics in collaboration with Reimbursement as directed

* Performs financial, clinical and operational analysis using reports from the Product Management and Patient Care Management systems.

* Completes special projects as assigned.

* Provides software support to users of the Patient Care Management system that includes needs assessment, documentation and resolution of issues and user specific training.

* Provides analysis of hospital/departmental operations from Decision Support systems and other source systems through cost benefit analysis of product lines, services and procedures.

* Integrate operational, financial, and clinical information to assist leadership with business decisions

* Synthesize resources to identify market opportunities and develop sound patient centric strategies

QUALIFICATIONS

* Master's Degree in Business or related field - Required

* PhD and/or advanced system certification - Preferred.

* One year experience in Data Analytics or as a Systems Analysis - Required

* Healthcare background - Preferred.

* Clinical experience - Preferred

* Experience operating with SQL relational databases - Required

* Experience with high level programming languages (Python) - Preferred

* Relevant Systems and Programs Experience

* Machine Learning: Knowledge of data mining techniques, multivariate calculus, linear algebra, matrix algebra

* Data base management system software: SQL Server, Oracle PL/SQL, Teradata Database

* Data base user interface and query software: SSMS/Teradata, Microsoft Access, Oracle JDBC, Transact-SQL

* Object or component oriented development languages including Python

* Business Intelligence and Data Science Tools: SQL Server Reporting Services, Tableau, Power BI, Qlik View, Business Objects, Microsoft R, Python

* One to three years accounting or report generation experience - Preferred
