Job Description:
Parsons is seeking a Machinery Maintenance Mechanic to support a large DoD maintenance contract for electronic security systems including entry control facilities and devices. Machinery will include Automated Vehicle Gates, vehicle wedge and hydraulic barriers, pedestrian turnstiles, and other motorized equipment. The ideal candidate will be able to follow written maintenance procedures, document results, troubleshoot equipment failures, coordinate with customer representatives, manage time to accomplish required tasks, and maintain professional communication habits, and will also be familiar using a tablet or computer to access system and trouble ticket records and enter data.
Experience or certification in vehicle barrier systems or equipment is preferred, especially Delta Scientific, RSSI, Nasatka, and Alvarado. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a DoD environment.

Other Responsibilities:

Maintaining, cleaning and repairing equipment, cabling, motors, and power supplies; and installing, repairing, rebuilding, and maintaining in efficient operating condition a wide variety of devices, infrastructure, and mechanical equipment designed for use in security applications at US DoD facilities.

Requirements:
- 5+ years installing or maintaining motorized electronic or mechanical equipment
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Up to 50% travel
- US Citizen

Desired / Preferred:
- DoD experience
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
- Safety certifications / training (fall protection / equipment operator)
- Experience in test procedures or system design plans / schematic
- Maintain Automated Vehicle Gates/Barriers, Pedestrian gates / turnstiles

Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to climb ladders
